It depends on the coat, its length and what life looks like between appointments. Once we have seen the coat, we can suggest a grooming rhythm that suits it.
Regular brushing keeps the coat comfortable and stops tangles getting ambitious. Use a brush suited to the coat - ask us which one - and keep an eye on ears, nails and the areas where collars rub.

At drop-off we talk through the coat, the service you have chosen and anything else we should know. The appointment then moves through its stages, with time to settle in between.
The haircut is the cut itself. A Full Groom is the complete grooming appointment, while a Maintenance Groom keeps things tidy between full visits. The services page lists the options.
No. Double coats should never be shaved, so we de-shed them instead - it takes the loose undercoat out without touching the coat's natural structure.
Tell us when you book, and share anything your dog finds difficult. Between grooming stages dogs are cage-free and can rest on a bed or couch rather than waiting in a holding cage.
Let us know what you have noticed when you book. We will assess the coat in person and explain what can be done safely before the groom continues.

Yes. Call before booking so we can talk about mobility, health, coat condition and how long the appointment should run. We will confirm what suits your dog.
Once your vet has cleared them for salon visits under their vaccination guidance. Call us and we will suggest a gentle first appointment for their age and coat.
It is hourly care while the salon is open, with only a few spots each day. Arrange it directly with us on 09 218 9719.
